Busy students - happy students
Skull Valley students attend multi-age classes; students learn in K -3rd grade and 4 - 6th grade groups with full-time teachers. While the focus is on quality academics, there is also an emphasis on character education and community service. Each year, students participate in charitable fund-raisers, do litter pick-up, and take a special bus trip to Prescott to visit with seniors in the Pioneer Home. A late-spring picnic at a local ranch rounds out the activities students take part in during the year.
The small schools in the area (including Yarnell, Kirkland, and Hillside) often get together to participate in activities such as a Speech Contest, a Science Fair and a Track Meet.
